PAREIDOLIA
par·ei·do·lia | \ ˌper-ˌī-ˈdō-lē-ə, -ˈdōl-yə \
The tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern
This work is born of introducing one material to another, orchestrating a conversation between them. I love creating images in non-traditional ways. This work traces recent explorations of solids and Iiquids, blooming and settling in and around paper, fabric, glass; coaxed and pulled into whatever emergent forms come forth in these monoprints.
I’m intrigued by what these representations evoke in others. I see inner and outer worlds, from the microscopic to nebulae light years across.
